Some exemplary impressions of previous exhibition
The epi Artists Exhibition has become a cherished tradition within the cultural life of epi. Opened for the first time in 1991, it was followed by further events in 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2006, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2018 and 2021 and is repeated every three years.
This unique exhibition features European patent attorneys who, in addition to their professional pursuits, showcase their artistic capabilities. The exhibition presents a diverse array of creative works ranging from paintings to graphical and fine art works, such as ceramics, sophisticated watches, jewelry, and artistic textile creations.
Throughout the years, the Exhibition has taken place in the foyer of the EPO which offered the possibility to present these intriguing artworks to a broad audience.
Notably, 2021 marked the Exhibition’s 30th anniversary and Covid 19 restrictions required us to organise the Exhibition in a virtual manner on the epi website. A dedicated website section for the presentation of all epi Artists and their artworks was launched on the epi website to present their artwork, offering an expansive virtual stage.
The resounding success of the virtual exhibition in 2021 has led to the decision to continue this format in 2024.
The intention is to prolong the visibility of the artworks and artists by maintaining an online presence on the dedicated website for an extended period, allowing all epi members to appreciate the creative contributions.
2021
The 12th epi Artists Exhibition has been launched virtually on the epi website on 28 October 2021
Covid-19 restrictions required epi to organise the exhibition virtually on the epi website. Thus, the epi has put a lot of effort to create the appropriate platform for all our artists to present their artwork to a wider audience.
31 creative members participated in the exhibition, with 206 great artworks of different kinds on display.
To duly honour the presentation of the epi artists and their artworks, the epi organised a virtual »Get Together« and gave the artists the opportunity to present themselves to the audience, introduce their artworks, and to exchange experiences and thoughts. The event took place right on 12 November 2021. There was a lively atmosphere, and it was very much appreciated by all participating guests.
2018
11th epi Artists Exhibition June 2018
The exhibition took place in the Foyer of the EPO (Pschorrhöfe) in Munich and was opened by Mr Francis Leyder, epi President and Mr Željko Topić, Vice President DG4 from the EPO on 11 June 2018.
21 artists among the epi members were presenting their artworks.
2015
10th epi Artists Exhibition March 2015
The exhibition took place in the Foyer of the EPO (Pschorrhöfe) in Munich and was opened by Ms Gabriele Leissler-Gerstl, Vice President of the epi and Mr Zeljko Topic´, Vice President DG4 from the EPO and on 2 March 2015.
17 artists among the epi members were presenting their artworks.
2012
9th epi Artists Exhibition February 2012
The exhibition took place in the Foyer of the EPO (Pschorrhöfe) in Munich and was opened by Mr Tony Tangena, epi President and Mr Raimund Lutz, Vice-President Directorate General Legal / International Affairs of the EPO on 6 February 2012.
17 artists among the epi members were presenting their artworks.
2009
8th epi Artists Exhibition February 2009
The exhibition took place in the Foyer of the EPO (Pschorrhöfe) in Munich and was opened by Mr Kim Finnilä, President of the epi and Ms Brimelow, President of the EPO on 19 February 2009.
